About Mayasi

The name and the logo

Mayasi is the name of street in Congo Brazzaville, Makelekele neighbourhood, where cofounder S. Boukadia spent his childhood. The name comes from a freedom fighter who resisted colonialism and has development heart.

Our logo has been inspired from the ghanean adinkra “Woforo dua pa a” , which is a symbol of  support, cooperation and encouragement.

Through this name and logo we mean that our focus is to be a source of support for the development of African fashion.
